Hugi: Leviczky family from Oros
I am searching for my father's family, Leviczky, who lived in Oros from the early part of the twentieth century. His mother, Erzsebet, served as postmistress for the village in the 40s and 50s. She had 5 children (4 girls, one boy, my father the youngest) My father's name was Bela Emil Leviczky. he was schooled locally and in Nyiregyhaza, and then in Medical School in Budapest in the late 1930s and early 1940s. I am not certain, but, his family my have been of the Orthodox faith, although one of his sisters , Gabriella, became a Catholic nun. From my memory of the early 1950s, Grandmother's house had clear view of the Catholic Church in Oros. My grandmother died in 1952-or 53. She was married to the local school teacher, who was retired from work at that time.
If any one has information about this family, please contact me. Hugi

Hugi

Hungary's phone book www.magyartelekom.hu/fooldal.vm LEVICZKY still in Nyiregyhaza's phone book.
In Slovakia's phone book:
http://www.zoznam.sk/hladaj.fcgi?co=telzoznam&s=levicky&mesto=&ulica=&psc=&uto=&net_fixed=1&net_mobile=1&net_alt=1
http://lazarus.elte.hu/autotk/
I want to say that SKY ending suggests the surname originating from a town by that name {Levice} and most of the time Roman Catholic.
